Lenovo Thinkbook 16p Gen 4 is powerful enough to let you game on the go

Laptops are designed to be portable computers which makes them great if you’re a student going from class to class, or if you’re working and need to move around a lot. Obviously if you’re a gamer, gaming from a PC is more ideal as PCs can fit larger components that offer better cooling, but if you’re the type that travels a lot but still wants to game, then you’re in luck.

At CES 2023, Lenovo has unveiled their latest Thinkbook 16p Gen 4 laptop. While it might not necessarily look like your typical gaming laptop, it does pack some very serious hardware that could make it perfect for gaming, or if you’re a professional that needs a lot of computing power for rendering videos or editing photos, it is more than capable of doing that as well.

With the Thinkbook 6p Gen 4, Lenovo has equipped it with a 3.2K mini LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with 400 nits of brightness and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. According to Lenovo, the display has been color calibrated for a Delta E of less than 1, which means that if you need to edit videos or photos and want to make sure they’re color accurate, this should do the trick.

Under the hood, we’re looking a Intel’s Raptor Lake-H processor options that users can configure up to an i9, making it extremely powerful for multiple processes. There are also GPU options like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX series, which like we said earlier, will make it a powerful machine for gaming and editing work. For the RAM, it can go up to 32GB of DDR5 memory, and there are also two M.2 slots for SSDs.

The new Thinkbook 16p Gen 4 is also compatible with Lenovo’s Magic Bay. For those unfamiliar, this is a proprietary ecosystem from Lenovo that allows users to attach external accessories to the laptop without taking up the USB slots as it uses its own pogo pin connector.

These accessories include webcams, front-facing lights, and there is also an option to add LTE connectivity.

For those who are interested in the Lenovo Thinkbook 16p Gen 4, it will be available come May 2023 where it will be priced starting at $1,349.
