While Apple’s iPad might be usually what comes to mind when it comes to tablets, TCL has announced a bunch of new tablets at CES 2023 if you’re not willing to be part of Apple’s ecosystem or if you don’t want to pay the crazy prices that are usually associated with the iPad.
Under the hood, we can look forward to the use of a MediaTek MT8771 chipset accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is also an accompanying 8,000mAh battery that should be more than enough to get you through the day and then some.
Next up will be the TCL Tab 8 LE. This is more of a basic tablet for those who want a tablet simply for its larger display and bigger battery. It features an 8-inch HD display and a 4,080mAh battery that TCL claims can last all day. It also comes with LTE connectivity and a microSD card slot that lets you expand its base storage of 32GB up to 512GB.
Last but not least, there is the TCL Book X12. This isn’t an Android tablet but rather a Windows tablet. There is a detachable keyboard option if you want to type out documents or emails. Under the hood, we can find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7C chipset which is accompanied by 4-8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
In terms of pricing and availability, the TCL NXTPAPER 12 Pro will be priced at $499, and a 5G model is launching later this year for $549. The TCL Tab 8 LE will be going on sale this month for $159, and the TCL Book X12 will go on sale later this year with pricing yet to be determined.
