Samsung has finally unveiled one of its newest devices for 2023, in the form of the Galaxy A14 5G. An entry-level phone, the device was announced during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and features hardware at an affordable price point for users who are on the hunt for a wallet-friendly handset.
In terms of hardware, the Galaxy A14 comes with a 6.6-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution, as well as a 90Hz display. This is wrapped up in a polycarbonate shell which also houses a 5,000 mAh battery, with support for 15W charging speeds. The phone also comes with 64GB of built-in storage, although it does support micro-SD expansion for up to 1TB of storage. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack onboard.
The phone runs on Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI software as well as Samsung-exclusive apps, and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, partnered with 4GB of RAM. There’s a triple-camera set-up onboard which consists of a 50MP (F1.8) main camera, a 2MP (F2.4) macro camera, and a 2MP (F2.4) depth camera. There’s also a 13MP selfie camera embedded in a waterdrop notch on the front.
In terms of pricing, the Galaxy A14 will be available for a retail price of $199.99 in the US.
