Smartwatches are great and there’s really no denying how useful they are when it comes to delivering notifications on our wrists so we don’t have to pull our phone out all the time. They’re also great for health and activity tracking if that’s your kind of thing. The only problem, which we suppose isn’t really a problem depending on preference, would be its design.
A lot of times smartwatches end up looking very gadgety which like we said, is a personal preference, but there might be some who prefer a more traditional-looking watch but still want all the smarts. The good news is that at CES 2023, Fossil has unveiled their latest smartwatch in the form of the Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition.
This is an expansion of the Wellness Edition lineup that the company originally unveiled back in October 2022. With the new hybrid model, it features the use of mechanical hands for that more traditional look, but sitting behind it is an e-ink gray-scale display that helps create a more muted and subtle look, perfect for users who might want something a bit more discreet or something that could blend into a formal setting.
Given that it uses an e-ink display and not an OLED display like in more modern day smartwatches, it will be able to last up to 2 weeks on a single charge. There is also support for Amazon’s Alexa digital assistant which you can use to control your smart home devices with. If you are keen on picking up the Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition, it will be available for purchase starting from the 5th of January, 2023.
