Oppo’s foldable phones are here to take on Samsung

Samsung is more or less the brand we think of when it comes to foldables, but if you’re looking for an alternative, then you most definitely might be interested to learn that Oppo’s latest foldables have been launched.

These phones come in the form of the Oppo Find N2 and the Find N2 Flip, with the former being a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, while the latter will take on the likes of the Galaxy Z Flip series.

In terms of specs, the Find N2 will feature a 5.54-inch external AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the inner display is of the foldable variety that can expand to 7.1-inches in size. It too will feature a 120Hz refresh rate and use LTPO panels. Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset can be found with up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,520mAh battery with 67W charging.

On the camera side of things, the Find N2 will feature a triple camera setup on the back with a 50MP main camera with OIS and an aperture of f/1.8, and it will be accompanied by a 48MP ultrawide, and a 32MP telephoto.

As for the Find N2 Flip, the handset will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 chipset. It will feature a 6.8-inch 120Hz foldable display with a 3.26-inch cover screen. There is a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie cam, with a 4,300mAh battery with 44W charging.

With regards to pricing, the Find N2’s base model will be priced starting at 7,999 yuan, while the Find N2 Flip will go for 5,999 yuan. Both phones will be initially available in China, but there are plans to eventually launch it in more markets in the future.
