Twitter Blue subscriptions are back, get your blue tick now

For those unfamiliar, Twitter has a subscription service called Twitter Blue which under its new owner, Elon Musk, gave users a blue tick to indicate that they are a verified user. The subscription service was halted for a while as Twitter reworked it, and if you were keen on getting it, you’re in luck.

This is because Twitter has since announced that Twitter Blue is back and users can now subscribe to it again for $8 a month, or if you’re an iPhone user and you’re subscribing through the App Store, it will cost $11 to account for the cut that Apple takes from in-app purchases and subscriptions.

With the relaunch of Twitter Blue, users will now have access to features like an Edit option, the ability to upload 1080p videos to their profile, a reader mode, and of course, the blue verified tick once you’ve associated your account with a verified phone number.

To lessen the confusion between Twitter Blue verified users and other official accounts, Twitter says that they’ll be introducing new colors for the ticks, with a gold checkmark being used for businesses, and a gray checkmark for government accounts. Twitter has come under fire for pretty much “giving away” the blue tick, where some users created accounts to impersonate other users while looking like they have been verified.
