Lenovo Announces Tab M8 (4th Gen) in Japan

Lenovo’s Tab M-series devices have always served as an entry-level gateway into the company’s more high-end devices and products, offering budget-conscious consumers with wallet-friendly Android options. With that said, the company has recently launched its fourth-generation Tab M8, which comes with hardware aimed at basic usage.

The listing was spotted on the company’s Japanese website, and features an 8-inch IPS LCD panel with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It also comes with the slightly older Android 12, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset alongside 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. There’s also expandable storage via a microSD card slot.

The tablet comes with a 2-megapixel front camera and a 5-megapixel rear camera, and even comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Inside is a 5,100 mAh battery, which given the basic specs could last most moderate users a day and then some.

With that said, the M8 is a budget device through and through, and users looking for something with a bit more bite should probably opt for the Lenovo Tab Extreme, a tablet with more high-end features such as Mediatek MT8798Z (Dimensity 9000) chipset, Android 13, and a display with a 1876×3000 Pixel resolution.
