Usually when it comes to older phones, companies tend to focus less on them and more on their newer devices. The good news is that if you were one of the early adopters of the OG Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, you will be happy to learn that Samsung has not wasted much time on pushing out the One UI 5.0 update for the handset.
For those unfamiliar, the original Galaxy Flip 5G was originally announced back in 2020, which makes the handset about two years old and well within the timeframe for promised OS updates. The update is being rolled out as we speak so if you are still using the handset, you’ll want to keep an eye out for it.
As for those who are still using the OG OG Galaxy Z Flip with LTE, the One UI 5.0 update doesn’t appear to be ready for your handset just yet, but not to worry as it is part of Samsung’s official One UI 5.0 update schedule, so you should be able to expect it in the coming weeks or months.
The One UI 5.0 is based on Google’s Android 13 which is 2022’s major Android update, so users can look forward to all the changes and improvements from Android 13, as well as other changes that Samsung has made to its One UI platform as part of the update.
