Carl Pei teases Android 13 for the Nothing Phone (1)

0

Despite Nothing having only one phone in its portfolio at the moment, the company has been a bit on the slow side when it comes to the Android 13 update, especially when you consider that other phones have since received the update.

The good news is that if you own the Nothing Phone (1) and have been looking forward to the Android 13 update, the company’s CEO Carl Pei has posted a tweet on Twitter which shows a screenshot from the phone running on Nothing OS 1.5.0, which is based on the Android 13 update.

Pei does not mention anything more in his tweet, but this seems to suggest that Nothing is close to releasing the update. The company is expected to launch a public beta for Android 13 on the Nothing Phone (1), so there is a chance this tweet could signal that they are getting closer to that stage.

As for when the update will be officially released for those who do not plan to take part in the beta, it is unclear, but hopefully it won’t take too long for owners of the Nothing Phone (1) to get the update. In the meantime, other handset manufacturers such as Samsung have been steadily releasing the Android 13 update for their phones, so here’s hoping Nothing will be able to catch up.
