How to Reset Your Google Pixel 7!
Smartphones are great – they let us do a plethora of tasks in small amounts of time, and over the years they’ve only gotten faster and smarter. With that said, they are still prone to slowing down at times, and there are instances when it might be useful to reset your phone. In the case of the Google Pixel 7 (and most Pixel phones) you might want to reset your device to give it a fresh start after upgrading to a new system update, or maybe you’re planning to do some tinkering with your device. Why Should you Reset your Phone?

How to Reset your Pixel 7
If you’re dead-set on resetting your Pixel 7 to its factory settings, or just need to refresh it a bit from a bad app crash or a feature that’s giving you the runaround, then you can try the following methods below:
Basic Restart
- Press and hold your power button for a few seconds.
- A menu should pop up on your screen with options for “Emergency,” “Lockdown,” “Power Off,” and “Restart.”
- Select “Restart.”
- Your Pixel 7 should then turn off, and automatically turn back on within the next few seconds.
Factory Reset
Factory resetting removes all bits of personal user data from your phone, so it’s advised that you should back-up your files to a PC or via cloud storage.
- Open your “Settings” app.
- Head down to “System” > “Reset Options.”
- Tap on “Erase all Data (Factory Reset)”
- Tap on “Erase all Data.”
Force Restart
In the unfortunate event that your pixel 7 is frozen and you are unable to access any settings menus, then you might need to force restart your phone.
