Amazon will now allow customers to pay using Venmo

In the past, online shopping would only allow users to pay for their purchases using credit/debit cards, but over the years, we’ve seen more additions. For example, PayPal is another popular option, and so are e-wallet platforms like Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and more.

For those who use Venmo frequently, you’ll be pleased to learn that Amazon has announced that Venmo will now be accepted for payments via its website and mobile app. The inclusion of Venmo is actually a good one because Venmo is used quite frequently as a P2P payment system, where users can quickly and easily send money to each other.

This means that if you do use Venmo a lot and have a balance there, you can use it to pay for your Amazon purchases, thus giving you another way to make use of that balance and you won’t need to take out your credit or debit card for your next Amazon purchase. According to Doug Bland, senior vice president and general manager, head of consumer, PayPal:

“We know that the Venmo community of nearly 90 million users value the safety, security, ease, and familiarity that paying with Venmo helps to bring to the checkout experience. The ability to pay with Venmo on Amazon continues our ongoing commitment to offer the community more ways to spend, send, receive, and manage their money with Venmo.”
