One UI 5.0 update has started to roll out for the Samsung Galaxy S22

0

A little under a couple of weeks ago, we reported that Samsung had confirmed that One UI 5.0 (which is based on Android 13) would be rolling out to their Galaxy S22 smartphones later this month, and the good news is that it looks like the update has already started to roll out to users as we speak.

Now, before you get too excited, keep in mind that right now, the update is only for the Exynos 2200 versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This means that if you happen to use the Qualcomm version of the phone, you will have to wait your turn.

Also, another thing we would like to point out is that the update is also being rolled out in Norway, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK, at least for the initial batch of updates, so if you live in another region that uses the Exynos chipset, you’ll also have to wait, but hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.

This is actually a pretty fast roll out when you consider that it wasn’t too long ago that the One UI 5.0 update was still in beta. There are plenty of other Samsung handsets that are also part of the beta, but assuming Samsung will be just as quick to push out the update, you might not need to wait too long before your phone receives it.
