While manufacturers might confirm that an Android update for their phones is in the works, if you happen to live in the US, then you probably know that this is simply one step in the process because it usually requires carriers to approve the update before it is eventually pushed out to devices.
Unless something changes in how this situation is handled, it looks like Android 13 is no exception to that rule. If you happen to have bought a phone from T-Mobile, then you might be interested to learn that the carrier has recently published a list of Android smartphones in which Android 13 is currently in development for.
Some of these devices don’t really come as a surprise. For example, there are flagships from 2022 like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4, and also devices from 2021 like the Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. There are also a bunch of mid-rangers like the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, OnePlus Nord N200, and even older devices like the OnePlus 7T.
At the moment, the update for these devices is currently being listed as being in development, and none of them have appeared to have made it to the testing phase. We’re not sure in what order T-Mobile is arranging the update, but at the very least we know that these devices are more or less confirmed to get it when it does become available.
