A new OnePlus Nord handset will be launching in the US next month

OnePlus started out as a company known for their flagship killer smartphones, where these phones offered excellent specs at even better prices, making them a great smartphone deal if you’re looking to save money.

Over the years, the company has steadily increased the price of its phones, but they eventually got back to their budget roots with their Nord series of handsets. For those looking for a new budget smartphone, you might be interested to learn that OnePlus spokesperson Spenser Blank has confirmed to The Verge that a new Nord handset is coming to the US.

The handset in question will be called the OnePlus N300 which is the followup to the OnePlus N200. The specs of the phone are a bit hazy at the moment, but one confirmed feature is that it will support faster 33W wired charging over its predecessor. Pricing is also unclear, but seeing as the N200 was priced at $239, making it one of the cheapest smartphones of 2022, we expect the N300 should be priced roughly in that range.

The Verge is also reporting that the N300 will be powered by a MediaTek chipset, the first OnePlus handset in North America to do so, but exactly which model is unclear. In any case, for those shopping for an affordable smartphone, perhaps the OnePlus N300 could be a phone to keep an eye out for.
