A smaller, more compact Google Pixel phone could be in development

The problem with a lot of smartphones these days is that they are too big, but despite their size, many people still love the big screens for watching videos, playing games, taking photos, surfing the web, and so on.

But if you’re the type that prefers their phones more compact, then you might be interested to learn that according to a report from Digital Chat Station, the leakster has revealed that Google could be developing a new smaller and more compact Pixel phone codenamed “Neila”.

Apparently the phone, despite its smaller stature, will pack hardware similar to a flagship phone, meaning that this phone will offer up high-end performance but in a smaller package. If this rumor is true, Google isn’t the only company to be trying their hand at a smaller handset.

Apple had previously launched the iPhone Mini series which lasted for about two generations before the company called it quits. It seems that while people seemed to enjoy the smaller form factor, they did not appreciate its price and how it lacked features compared to the other iPhones.

If Google could learn from this mistake and ensure a similar experience but with a more compact design, they could have a winner on their hands. We’re not sure when this “Neila” device will be making an appearance, so until then take it with a grain of salt.
