Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is designed to take some hits

Not all devices are made equal. While under the hood, many do share similar hardware, externally they might be designed for different purposes. If you’re someone who works outdoors quite a lot in relatively harsh and unforgiving environments, then perhaps the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro could be a tablet of interest.

This is because the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is a rugged tablet. According to Samsung, the tablet will feature the use of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 which the company claims is capable of withstanding drops from height of up to 1 meter. It also boasts an IP68 rating which means that it is protected to a certain degree from dust and water ingress.

There is also MIL-STD-810H certification which ensures that the tablet can continue to function when exposed to high altitudes and extreme humidity, making it a great tablet to use if you find yourself in those types of conditions often for work.

As for the hardware itself, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro will feature a 10.1-inch LCD 1920×1200 display. It will be powered by a 6nm octa-core chipset and will come with 4-6GB of RAM, 64-128GB of storage, and there is also a microSD card slot that will let you add up to 1TB of additional storage.

It will also feature a 7,600mAh battery and there is support for 5G, LTE, and WiFi 6. There is no mention of pricing just yet, but the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is expected to launch in Europe this September and eventually make its way to North American markets.
