Galaxy S22 Gets August Update for US Markets

0

A while back, Samsung’s Galaxy S22 device line-up received a new update, which brings the latest August software patch, albeit exclusive for international variants of the phone. With that said, a new update has finally arrived for US versions of the device, which features the latest August 2022 software patch.

The new update comes with software version number S90xU1UEU2AVG8, and is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. The new update brings some fixes for security and stability issues, as well as include vulnerabilities in Samsung DeX, KnoX VPN, and more. Launched earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy S22 devices are the company’s main flagship devices, although they now share the spotlight with the recently-launched Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4.

Additionally, the S22 Ultra also succeeds the Galaxy “Note” line, with the S-Pen now having been migrated to the new S-series device, a change which has been an “interesting” move on Samsung’s behalf, to say the least.

If you want to check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and proceed to tap on “Download and Install” to begin the update process.
