Nokia has recently been a bit more consistent when pushing software updates to its devices, providing several different smartphones with monthly security patches, and sometimes a full-on update to the latest Android 12 OS. With that said, the company has recently rolled out new software patches to the Nokia XR20, X20, X10, and 7.2.
More specifically, new Android 12 build updates are headed over to the three Nokia X-series models as mentioned above, which will come with the June security patch, as well as UI enhancements and improvements to overall stability. Meanwhile, the Nokia 7.2 will receive the July 2022 security patch. If you own any of the handsets mentioned above, you might want to go into your Settings app to see if you can download the latest software updates.
In recent news, it’s been reported that Nokia and Zeiss have decided to go their own separate ways, with the split occurring sometime back in 2021. Zeiss’ “Brand Partnerships” section on its website no longer includes the Nokia brand, and there’s no formal word yet from Nokia on whether or not it will partner with a different camera brand for future products. The company has also posted strong numbers for Q2, while highlighting its progress in developing record-breaking 5G connectivity speeds.
