Anker unveils its new smaller, more powerful GaNPrime chargers

Traveling with a bunch of chargers can be troublesome because it means more things you’ll need to pack and also there is the potential of having more things to forget. Some of these chargers, especially those with multiple ports, can be huge which can make it difficult to pack, which is why GaN chargers are growing in popularity thanks to their size and power output capabilities.

If you’re looking for a new charger and want something small but powerful, then you might be interested to learn that Anker has since announced their new lineup of GaNPrime charger accessories that might be worth taking a look at. Anker is no stranger when it comes to GaN chargers, but these chargers are making use of the company’s GaNPrime technology, which is Anker’s take on the GaN 3 standard.

Part of this lineup include three mobile chargers – the Anker 735 Charger (GaNPrime 65W), Anker 737 Charger (GaNPrime 120W), and the Anker 747 Charger (GaNPrime 150W). Apart from the obvious difference in power output, other differences include how the 150W model comes with an additional USB-C port, versus the 65W and 120W models which only offer two USB-C ports alongside a USB-A port.

They also come with features like Power IQ 4.0, which can apparently tell what kind of devices are plugged in and will be able to distribute power accordingly, and can prioritize devices that might have a higher-demand for power (like laptops). These chargers also feature ActiveShield 2.0 for temperature management to prevent overheating.

For those who are interested, the Anker 735 and Anker 737 are available for purchase via Anker’s website right now, while the flagship Anker 747 is available for pre-order and is expected to be shipping out late August.
