Samsung has recently launched a new software patch for its mid-range Galaxy A72 handset, which brings some new features as well as updates to security and stability issues. The new update is available for users of the A72 in India and Russia.
The new update comes with software version number A725FXXU4BVG1, and packs the latest July 2022 Android software patch, which comes with fixes for overall system stability, as well as vulnerabilities which affect device security. The new update also comes with some improvements to camera performance.
Launched last year, the Samsung Galaxy A72 was one of several Samsung A-series handsets, which are meant to compete with other mid-range smartphones like Google’s Pixel “A” smartphones. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 90hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, and a quad-camera set-up on the rear panel. The device was announced alongside the slightly more affordable Galaxy A52.
To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and proceed to tap on “Download and Install” to begin the update process. The update should make its way to more countries in the coming days and weeks.
