With devices like the Apple Watch, you can use it to help locate a phone that you might have accidentally misplaced at work or around the home. That is one of the perks of being part of Apple’s ecosystem. Recently, Fitbit introduced something similar with the “Find Phone” feature that initially made its way to the Charge 5.
The good news is that if you don’t own the Charge 5 and own another Fitbit like the Luxe, then it looks like you’ll be getting that feature as well. This is according to a report from 9to5Google who noted that the latest firmware update for Fitbit devices also includes Find Phone support for the Fitbit Luxe.
For those who don’t have the feature yet, it might be because your Fitbit has not been updated. You will need to have version 1.171.50 of the update in order to access this feature, so make sure you’ve downloaded and installed it if you want to make use of this new Find Phone feature.
In case you’re hearing about this for the first time, Fitbit’s Find Phone feature basically activates a loud sound on the smartphone that your Fitbit is paired with, making it easy for you to locate your phone. Naturally, since this requires a Bluetooth connection, it means that it won’t be as effective if your phone was stolen or left somewhere that’s outside of its Bluetooth range.
