A new image of an upcoming Samsung device has recently been making rounds on the online tech space, although the device in question seems more of a “second take” rather than an all-new offering from the South Korean tech giant. Currently known as the “Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 (2022),” the upcoming tablet features a rather familiar-looking design all throughout.
Details about the device – which strongly resembles the 2020 Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 model – have also been shared online courtesy of Slash Leaks. According to the post, the device will have a 10.4-inch TFT display with a 1200 x 2000 resolution, an 8-megapixel camera at the back and 5-megapixel camera on the rear panel, a 7,040 mAh battery, and a UNISOC chipset. The tablet is also aimed at budget-conscious consumers, and will be priced at €199.
This puts it against the likes of other budget Android tablets, like Nokia’s T20 and T10 tablets.
This isn’t the first time that Samsung will be reusing an existing product design, as the company also marketed an updated 2022 version of its Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which aside from using virtually all of the same hardware components, makes use of a Snapdragon chipset (the original version used an Exynos SoC). There have also been rumors that the company might sell a more affordable 4G variant of the Galaxy S21 FE.
