While Samsung’s Galaxy A52 5G has now been succeeded by 2022’s Samsung Galaxy A53, the company has nevertheless remained consistent in providing updated software patches for the older handset. As such, a new update has finally arrived for European versions of the phone, which features the latest July 2022 software patch.
The new update comes with software version number A526BXXU1CVG2, and is now available for several countries in Europe which includes Germany, France, Spain, Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, as well as the United Kingdom, to name a few. The new update brings some fixes for security and stability issues for the A52 5G.
Launched last year, the Samsung Galaxy A52 was one of Samsung’s many A-series handsets, which are meant to compete in the mid-range smartphone segment against phones like Google’s Pixel “A” smartphones. It came with a quad-camera set-up, a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset.
The phone also launched with Android 11, and received an update to Android 12 with Samsung’s One UI 4.1 software update.
To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and proceed to tap on “Download and Install” to begin the update process.
