Samsung smartphone owners might be in for a treat real soon – new intel reveals that the next One UI iteration is underway, and a beta version might be up for release during this month.
According to information from Sammobile, the beta version of One UI will be available for download sometime this July (most likely around the third week). Additionally, the beta is currently available for employees within Samsung, presumably for testing purposes.
It’s also mentioned that the company is targeting a global release by October 2022. This seems to fit in with Google’s release timeline for Android 13, given that the next Android version is now available for beta testing on select devices from various manufacturers.
The current One UI version is at 4.1, which has been made available for several Samsung handsets alongside the latest Android 12 OS update. One UI 4.1 comes with several fixes for security and stability issues, as well as new Samsung-centric customizations features and apps, as well as a new theming options based on Android 12’s Material You design language.
Of course, given that this will be a beta version of the UI, users should expect to come across occasional bugs or performance issues. More information should be available soon once Samsung officially announces the beta.
