The latest Android 12 software update has finally made its way to the Redmi Note 11, which is available right now via an over-the-air (OTA) update. More specifically, the new update is for the base Note 11 variant, and not the Pro or 5G versions.
The update is currently live in several regions with build number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SGCMIXM, which also comes with the June 2022 security patch. The update also includes some improvements to MIUI, system stability, and bug fixes. Improvements were also made to some of the built-in apps which include the clock, weather, and phone apps, among others.
The Redmi Note 11 was launched earlier this year, and comes in four different variants. It features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, an IP53 rating, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, up to 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM, a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast-charging, and a quad-camera set-up at the back, accompanied by a hole-punch selfie camera in front.
The phone was originally launched with Android 11, which is heavily customized with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 13 interface. Users can easily check if their phone is eligible for the update by heading into the settings app, and typing “Software Update” in the search bar, which should directly lead to the update page.
