Usually when it comes to electronic gadgets, whenever a new model is launched, the price is usually kept the same as the previous model or it is increased, so it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 could end up being more expensive than its predecessor.
According to a tweet by Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de, apparently the Galaxy Watch 5 could end up being cheaper than its predecessor. According to his post, the Watch 5 is expected to start at 300 Euros for the 40mm Bluetooth model, and 350 Euros for the LTE model.

This alone makes it cheaper compared to the Galaxy Watch 4 where the base model is priced at 269 Euros, meaning that the Watch 5 will be about 31 Euros more expensive. As Quandt notes, these prices are in Euros which means that when it comes to the US or other countries, its pricing will be different.
As per the rumors, there is also going to be a Pro variant of the watch where it will be offered in a titanium finish. According to Quandt, that model will be priced starting at 490 Euros and will only be available in a 45mm variant. Take this with a grain of salt for now, but if Samsung were to announce the smartwatch, it will most likely be alongside the Fold 4 and Flip 4 smartphones in August, so we’ll have to wait until then for more information.
