Battery life and battery sizes on our smartphones haven’t really improved that much over the years, with most phones topping out at around 5,000mAh. Depending on how you use it, this usually equates to a little over a day’s worth, but definitely far from the glory days of the feature phone.
To make up for this, phone makers have included fast charging tech that helps juice a phone up in under an hour, and the good news is that it looks like the upcoming Nothing Phone (1) could be sporting fast charging technology.
This is according to a report from 91mobiles Hindi who discovered a TUV certification for a Nothing-branded charger where the 45W charging speeds were revealed. Given that we don’t know the size of the battery in the phone, it’s hard to say how long it will take for a 45W charger to fully charge the device, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Previous rumors of the Nothing Phone (1) have also suggested that it could be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and that it could cost around 500 Euros, putting this device square in the mid-range category. Nothing confirmed that they will be hosting a launch event on the 12th of July where the full official details will be revealed, so check back with us then for more updates.
