Twitter will soon make it easier for you to find what you are looking for

Have you ever tried to search for something on Twitter only to discover that there isn’t much information about the thing you were looking for? Maybe it’s because no one else has tweeted about it yet, which is why the results aren’t showing up.

If you like to stay up to date with the latest news and trends, it seems that Twitter is working on a new and interesting feature called Search Subscribe. This is according to developer Dylan Roussel who discovered the feature.

Basically what it does is that when users search for something, they will be able to subscribe to that search query. What happens after is that once tweets related to your search query start making its way onto Twitter, you will then receive push notifications informing you about it, so you can see the latest tweets as they come in that might be related to what you are looking for.

We’re not quite sure how it is expected to fully work, and how users will deal with the notifications. After all, given the millions of users on Twitter, we’re sure that users don’t want to be spammed non-stop, especially if it’s a particularly popular topic, right? Hopefully we’ll have more details soon, but in the meantime what do you make of this upcoming feature? Do you think it will be useful?
