As Samsung moves to provide regular software updates for its countless phone models, the company has finally started rolling out the latest June 2022 software patch for the Galaxy S22 series handsets. However, it seems that models of the phone which run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets will be the first to get the update, with software version number S90XEXXU2AVEH.
With that said, Galaxy S22 series phones with the models numbers “SM-S901E,” “SM-S906E,” and “SM-S908E,” will be eligible for the update, as these are the phones which currently run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The update is pretty large at 1.7GB, and brings security and software patches.
The update is now live in the United Arab Emirates, and should be available to more regions in the coming days and weeks. You can check for the update by heading into your Settings app, navigating to “Software Update,” and hitting “Download and Install.”
More recently, last year’s Galaxy S21 also received the latest June 2022 software patch. Samsung usually launches its flagship phones in two variants depending on the market region – models with Qualcomm chips are usually sold in US markets, while those with Samsung’s own Exynos chips are sold in European regions.
