Gamers can now stream Fortnite on Android through GeForce Now

Following Epic’s disagreement with how much of a cut companies like Google were taking from in-app purchases, the company removed Fortnite from the Play Store. The company later introduced an alternative way of installing the game, but in case you are looking for another way of playing the game, NVIDIA’s got you covered.

The company has announced that following the closed beta, Fortnite is now available to stream via its GeForce Now streaming platform. According to NVIDIA’s announcement:

“Fortnite on GeForce NOW with touch controls on mobile is now available to all members, streaming through the Safari web browser on iOS and the GeForce NOW Android app.

The full launch — including the removal of the waitlist — follows a successful beta period in which more than 500,000 participants streamed over 4 million sessions to hundreds of mobile device types.”

NVIDIA’s announcement follows Microsoft’s announcement earlier this month where the company revealed that Fortnite would be one of the titles that could be streamed through the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, so it looks like gamers who prefer the streaming method now have another option to choose from.

Gamers will of course need to have a GeForce Now membership in order to stream the game, so if you don’t have a membership yet, you can go to the GeForce Now website and sign up for one of several membership tiers. NVIDIA has also announced that members who were part of the closed beta will be able to redeem a three-day Priority membership which unlocks better performance and extended gaming sessions.
