The updates just keep pouring in – owners of Nokia’s G20 handset have reported that the device has finally started receiving the latest Android 12 update, alongside the May security patch. The update is currently live in Austria, and more regions should start receiving the update soon.
According to a report online, the new software update comes in at 1.97GB, which is to be expected for a full OS upgrade. The Nokia G20 was originally launched back in 2021, as part of Nokia’s G-series line of mid-range devices.
In terms of hardware specs, the Nokia G20 features a 6.5-inch LCD display with a 1600 x 720 resolution, MediaTek’s Helio G35 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The phone also comes with a quad-camera set-up which includes a 48MP primary lens, 5MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 12MP depth sensor. The front of the device features an 8MP camera.
Nokia has done a decent job of bringing over Android 12 to some of its newer and older handsets, as the company pledges prolonged software support for its smartphones. You can check for the update by going into the “Settings” app, and typing “update” in the search bar for a quick shortcut to the update menu.
