Motorola Leaks: Upcoming Razr to Feature Larger Screens

A while back, leaks showing the design of Motorola’s upcoming folding phone – codenamed “Maven” – made their rounds online, featuring a new design which ditches the old Razr aesthetic for a more “modern” approach. Now, a new statement suggests that the upcoming foldable might come with larger displays.

A post from Twitter user Ross Young claims that upcoming Motorola foldable will have larger screens, such as a 6.7-inch main screen (compared to the Razr 5G’s 6.2-inch screen), and an outer display which will measure 3-inches. Additionally, the Tweet says that China Star will be responsible for manufacturing the new device.

These are only the latest in a series of leaks surrounding the device. It’s also rumored that the phone will launch with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, alongside a 13-megapixel wide-angle and macro sensor. Meanwhile, the folding screen will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

A while back, additional reports claim that Motorola’s third-generation foldable phone could be a powerhouse flagship device, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a 120Hz display, and up to 12GB of RAM.

Currently, Motorola’s main foldable device is the Razr 5G, which primarily competes with devices like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series, although the latter handsets have proven to be more popular with a lot of consumers. Given the supposed leaks though, it would seem that Motorola is shooting for first place with the new device once it launches.
