Samsung Discreetly Launches Updated Version of the Tab S6 Lite

A while back, rumors pointed to a possible “updated” version of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It would seem that an Amazon Italy listing finally confirms the revamped version of the tablet, which comes with some very minor changes.

For one, the new version of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will no longer come with the Exynos 9611 chipset. Instead, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G will power the tablet, which should provide better performance. While the Exynos version of the tablet wasn’t exactly terrible, it wasn’t particularly fast either, especially when compared to similarly-priced tablets at the time.

The new version will also launch with Android 12 and Samsung’s One UI 4.1 software, although the current Exynos version of the device has also received the same OS update. In terms of display size, design, battery, and other specs, there are no changes to the newer variant of the S6 Lite.

The original Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was launched back in 2020, and proved to be popular with a lot of consumers due to the modern design, relatively affordable pricing, and availability.

As of now, there’s no official announcement from Samsung if and when the new version of the tablet will launch in other regions, so fans will have to wait for further announcements from Samsung for the meantime.
