When OnePlus announced the OnePlus 10 Pro earlier this year, it was a bit strange because usually when companies announce handsets these days, we see a base version along with a “Pro” and/or “Ultra” variant, but OnePlus only announced the Pro.
We have heard rumors that OnePlus could be planning to launch a base OnePlus 10 handset along with an Ultra variant, and now thanks to a tweet by Yogesh Brar, who has in the past proven to be quite reliable, more details about the upcoming phones have been revealed.
So the OnePlus Ultra flagship is getting into testing phase, focus on cameras & SD 8 Gen 1+
OnePlus 10 – D9000/SD 8 Gen 1 (depending on market)
D8000 and SD888 in more Mid-range phones like Nord series
7 Gen 1 phone being planned.
Complicated timelines & products overall

According to Brar’s tweet, the Ultra variant of the OnePlus 10 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and will have an emphasis on the cameras. It is also said to be entering the testing phase which suggests that maybe a launch won’t be too far behind.
As for the OnePlus 10 base model, apparently it could launch with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset for some markets, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in other markets. Rumors from last month also suggested that the base model could actually support faster charging than the Pro model.
There is no official word from OnePlus regarding the handsets, so we’ll just have to wait and see for when the phones will be announced. In the meantime, OnePlus has been quite busy launching other mid-range devices like the recently announced OnePlus Ace.
