Blizzard announces Warcraft Arclight Rumble, its new mobile Warcraft game

Blizzard had previously mentioned that they were planning on announcing a new mobile Warcraft game, or rather, the company’s latest Warcraft mobile title, and sure enough they have. Warcraft Arclight Rumble has been officially announced by the company.

Based on the videos and description of the game, it seems like Warcraft Arclight Rumble is like a pared version of the Warcraft series of RTS games. Players will have to command an army called “Minis” that they will have to use to fight and defeat various bosses and characters from the Warcraft universe, while commanding heroes at the same time.

This seems to borrow RTS elements from the Warcraft series along with the hero feature that was originally introduced in Warcraft 3. There will also be bases and structures that players will need to defend and failing to do so will cost them the game. We can’t help but get some Clash Royale vibes from this game, except with a Blizzard twist on things.

There will be PvE elements in the game that can be played through a single-player campaign, but there are also PvP game modes in case you want to fight against other players. At the moment, there is no release date set for the game but players can pre-register for the game via its website and be notified when it does eventually become available.

While we would have loved to see a Warcraft 4, it’s good to see Blizzard reinvigorating the Warcraft franchise with new games that aren’t related to World of Warcraft.
