Oppo Formally Announces K10 5G, K10 Pro Handsets

Oppo has finally announced two new variants of its K10 handset, namely the Oppo K10 5G and K10 Pro. A while back, we mentioned that the K10 5G in particular might come with some interesting specs based on leaks and rumors online, and the unveiling of the new phones gives us more details regarding their specs sheet.

The Oppo K10 5G is set to come with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8000 Max SoC, a 6.59-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and interestingly enough, “Panda Glass,” as opposed to the more commonly-used Gorilla Glass panels. The back of the device features a triple-camera set-up, with a 64-megapixel f/1.8 main sensor, 8-megapixel  f/2.2 ultrawide camera, 2-megapixel macro lens, while the front houses a 16-megapixel f/2.1 selfie camera. The phone will feature up to a maximum of 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The K10 5G is the more affordable of the two handsets, and will come priced at around $310 when converted.

Meanwhile, the Oppo K10 Pro will feature a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass 5 and FHD+ resolution, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset, and up to a maximum of 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, similar to the K10 5G. As for optics, the K10 Pro has a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with OIS and an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultrawide unit. There’s also a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera in front. The K10 Pro will retail for around $385, when converted.

Both devices come with 5,000 mAh batteries, with support for SuperVOOC fast-charging.

As of now, the two smartphones are exclusive to China. There’s currently no word on whether or not these will be sold internationally, so Oppo fans and potential buyers will have to wait for further developments.
