Cleaning your home can sometimes feel like a chore. Well, technically it is a chore and it’s something that we have to do in order to keep things neat and tidy. But sometimes life gets in the way, we have other commitments, we might have work that needs to be done, tests to prepare for, kids to look after, and so on.
You could always hire someone to drop by your place and clean it every week, but it can get pretty expensive. Thankfully, robot vacuum cleaners have come a very long way since they were first introduced and if you’re looking for a smart and more efficient way of keeping your home clean, perhaps hellbot SL60 Robot Vacuum and Mop (shellbottech.com) could be what you were looking for.
Users can choose between three different water mopping levels, so for surfaces that you might be worried might get damaged due to water, like wooden surfaces, you can opt for a low level of water, but for other surfaces, you can opt to use more water for a deeper clean. It has a water tank that is capable of holding 260ml which should be enough for most people.
In terms of navigation, the robot features the use of LiDAR technology. For those unfamiliar, LiDAR is the same tech that is used in self-driving cars to help them detect objects and obstacles so that they know what to avoid, and that’s pretty much how the SL60 is leveraging the tech as well.
Speaking of paths, users will also be able to set up zones where they don’t want the robot to go or areas that they don’t want to use the mopping mode. This means that instead of users having to manually enable or disable mopping mode, setting up these zones means that the SL60 has already recorded your cleaning preferences and will act accordingly.
There is also an accompanying smartphone app that will give users control over the settings, and it also adds some modern features like support for digital assistants like Amazon’s Alexa, so if you have smart speakers or smart displays in your home like the Amazon Echo series, you can even control the robot using your voice.
Shellbot will also be bundling a remote control with the SL60 in case you don’t want to use your phone or if your phone isn’t on your person.
With the SL60, Shellbot has equipped it with a very generous 5,200mAh battery that the company claims is good for about 200 minutes of cleaning. This means that for the most part, unless you live in a huge mansion, 200 minutes is typically more than sufficient to get your entire home cleaned and then some.
If you’re sold on Shellbot’s SL60 robot vacuum, then you will be able to order it on Amazon or shellbottech.com. We should note that the SL60 is typically priced at $640 but it is currently enjoying a $170 savings on Amazon right now so now might be a good time to get your hands on it if you’re looking to save some money.
