It is without a doubt that Samsung is the king of the foldable smartphones. The company has pumped out so many models that it makes the competition pale in comparison, but that doesn’t mean that the competition is just sitting idly by and letting Samsung steal all the market.
Vivo is definitely not doing that because the company has officially announced its first-ever foldable, the Vivo X Fold. We have been hearing about this phone for a while now and it looks like it’s finally here and it packs some specs that could give Samsung a run for its money.
For starters, under the hood the Vivo X Fold will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which is pretty much the default chipset used by the majority of flagship smartphones in 2022. The phone will also feature a 6.53-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display on the outside, and on the inside when unfolded, it features an 8.03-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED panel with a 2160×1916 resolution.
The phone will also feature a quad camera setup on the back which includes a 50MP main shooter, a 48MP ultrawide lens, a 12MP 2x telephoto lens, and an 8MP 5x periscope camera, with 16MP front-facing shooters on both the external and internal displays. The phone also sports dual ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors, one for each display, and also comes with a 4,600mAh battery with 66W wired charging.
