Samsung could launch Android 13 beta testing this July

0

Earlier this year, Google released the developer preview for Android 13. Knowing most handset manufacturers, by the time Google releases the public build, it will probably be towards the end of 2022 or early 2023 that non-Pixel handsets will receive the update.

But there is some good news for Samsung users. According to a report from SamMobile, it appears that the company is getting ready to launch a beta program for Android 13 and One UI 5.0 and that it could be launching as soon as this July.

What this means is that if you’re curious about Android 13 and want to try it out ahead of its full release, as long as you own an eligible Samsung handset, you will be able to take part in the beta and take the update for a spin. The fact that Samsung could launch a beta this soon also means that they’ll have more time to iron out any kinks it might have in time for an official release.

To date, Samsung has actually been one of the more reliable Android handset manufacturers when it comes to timely major OS updates. The company had also recently committed to offering newer handsets at least four major OS updates along with five years of security updates, which is more than what most other manufacturers are offering.

Keep in mind that nothing official has been announced yet, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for when the beta goes live.
