OnePlus has been on an interesting path lately. The delayed global release of the OnePlus 10 Pro, public outcry against the move to merge ColorOS with OxygenOS, and its storied history with the Nord devices have certainly made for a lot of discussion and debate online, especially among tech enthusiasts. With that said, new leaks have surfaced revealing an upcoming OnePlus Nord device.
A social media post from noted tech informant Yogesh Brar shows a photo of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, which will be one of the latest additions to the company’s growing Nord device line. The post shows the design of the phone and lists several key specs.

According to the post, the Nord CE 2 Lite will feature a 6.58-inch LCD display with a 120hz refresh rate, 128GB of storage with the choice of either 6 or 8GB of RAM, and will run on a Qualcomm Snaprdragon 695 chipset. The phone will feature a triple camera set-up at the back, with a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel mono lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 16-megapixel front camera. Additionally, the phone will launch with Oxygen OS 11, and will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery.
Other hardware details include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, although there’s no mention of an alert slider button, which OnePlus usually reserves for its high-end smartphones. OnePlus originally launched its Nord smartphone line back in 2020, as a means of competing with other mid-range devices like the Google Pixel “A” series, Xiaomi’s Redmi devices, and the Samsung Galaxy “A” phones.
OnePlus’ latest release is the OnePlus 10 Pro, its successor to the 9 and 9 Pro devices from 2021. Although the device was released earlier this year in China, the global variant of the smartphone was only recently launched, sans a regular 10 model. There’s currently no word from OnePlus regarding the Nord CE 2 Lite however, although we might see more developments soon.
