Moto G 5G 2022

The upcoming Moto G 5G 2022 could perfect for those too stubborn to go wireless

It has been several years since Apple made the “brave” decision to ditch the headphone jack on its phone, eventually leading to many other handset manufacturers to follow suit. For those who are firm believers that audio transmitted over a wired connection will sound better compared to over wireless, don’t worry, not all manufacturers have adopted this trend yet.

In fact, according to a tweet by @OnLeaks, it appears that Motorola is working on a new budget handset in the form of the Moto G 5G 2022 that apparently will be retaining the physical headphone jack.

This means that if you own a pair of audiophile-grade headphones that you’d like to use with your mobile devices, you can without having to purchase adapters/dongles. As for the rest of the specs of the phone, given that it’s a budget handset part of the Moto G lineup, it’s not the most impressive of phones we’ve seen.

The rumors are claiming that it will feature a 6.6-inch display with a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. It will also be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G chipset, and will feature a triple camera on the back with a 50MP main shooter, and will also come with Android 11 preinstalled.

Given the specs and the lineup it’s part of, we suppose the upside to this phone is that it should be affordably priced, so we’ll wait for the official announcement for additional details.
