Oppo Find X5 Pro leaks in its entirety ahead of official launch

0

In 2021, there was one flagship phone that garnered a lot of attention and then seemed to fall under the radar. Oppo’s Find X3 Pro is an absolute beast of a smartphone, providing an incredible camera experience along with offering all of the power you could want. Needless to say, the Find X5 Pro has some big shoes to fill but thanks to a new leak from WinFuture, Oppo’s next flagship is shaping up nicely.

  • Display: 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED, 3216 x 1440
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
  • RAM: 12GB
  • Storage: 256GB
  • Front Camera: 32MP Sony IMX709
  • Rear Cameras: 50MP (main) / 50MP (ultra-wide) / 13MP (telephoto)
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: ColorOS 12.1 (based on Android 12)
  • Extras: IP68, Under-display fingerprint scanner, 5G, 80W fast charging, 120Hz refresh rate, Wireless charging

This latest leak doesn’t just share a few tidbits of what the Find X5 Pro should bring, but instead gives us a look at the entire package. The phone is said to sport a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a variable 120Hz refresh rate and a 3216 x 1440 resolution. Oppo is also implementing an under-display fingerprint scanner, similar to the one found in last year’s Find X3 Pro.

As expected, the Find X5 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage. This is a curious decision by Oppo, as the 12GB/256GB configuration will be the only one available.

Moving to the cameras, Oppo and Hasselblad are partnering up again, as the camera system has been “developed in cooperation” with Hasselblad. Oppo is using two Sony IMX766 sensors for the wide and ultra-wide cameras. Then, there’s a 13MP telephoto camera capable of using hybrid zoom to reach up to 20x.

It seems that 5,000mAh has become the new standard with ultra-flagship devices, and the trend continues with the Find X5 Pro. Oppo is also pairing this with 80W fast wired charging, along with wireless charging. Unfortunately, we aren’t sure how fast the wireless charging speeds will be.

Rounding out this latest leak, the Find X5 Pro will include IP68 water and dust resistance. It will also run ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12 along with offering support for 5G connectivity.

Expectations are that Oppo will unveil the Find X5 Pro in the coming weeks, and could be released alongside other version of the Find X5. Pricing is expected to come in around 1200 euros, making it one of the more expensive devices out there.
