OnePlus 10 Ultra could be launching later this year

Earlier this month, OnePlus unveiled their latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10. But for some reason, unlike previous launches in the past, the handset was launched only in China and we still have no idea when the phone is expected to make its way to other markets around the world.

That being said, it is possible that maybe we could be getting another variant of the phone. This is according to a tweet by tech reporter Yogesh Brari who claims that OnePlus could be working on a phone called the OnePlus 10 Ultra.

According to Brari’s tweet, apparently the handset is currently in the EVT (engineering validation test) phase, which for those unfamiliar is basically where prototypes of the phone are being tested to ensure that it does what it’s supposed to do, or at least what the company is hoping for it to do.

Other than that, not much else is known about the Ultra version of the OnePlus 10 and how it could differ from the Pro model. The Pro model is already as flagship as it gets with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of RAM, 80W of fast charging, and a 5,000mAh battery.

It also sports a triple camera setup with Hasselblad’s branding, so we’re not sure where OnePlus could improve on the Pro model to really give it the “Ultra” branding. It is possible that maybe the Ultra could simply be a rebranding of the Pro for non-China markets, but we’ll have to wait and see.
