Besides the larger screen and battery, you won’t find any other differences between the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus. This was the case with the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus, as Samsung is just providing an in-between option for the Galaxy S22 lineup.

The big story here is (and has been) the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This is the phone that is sporting the most drastic changes when it comes to hardware, as you won’t find a camera hump any longer, as Samsung has just smoothed things out and provided cutouts for the different cameras and the LED flash. It’s pretty obvious when looking at the renders that this is the true Galaxy Note replacement, essentially cannibalizing the need for a Note to be launched later this year.

Samsung is solving the biggest complaint from the Galaxy S21 Ultra and its compatibility with the S Pen. Instead of needing to pick up a specialized case, the S Pen will be housed in the bottom of the phone, just like the Galaxy Note. The S22 Ultra also sports a quad-camera array on the back, including dual telephoto lenses providing either 3.3x or 10x optical zoom. The main camera is also upgraded compared to the rest of the lineup, as the S22 Ultra will use a 108MP primary lens instead of the 50MP sensor found on the two smaller models.

The next Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for February 9, and WinFuture reveals that the entire Galaxy S22 lineup will be available starting on February 25. If you want to reserve your Galaxy S22 now and get $50 in Samsung credit, hit the button below.
