Over the years, we’ve come across various stories of how big retailers and online platforms have been hacked and their data breached. As a result, users who don’t rely on two-factor authentication and/or weak passwords could potentially find some of their accounts compromised.
For those who might be a bit concerned about their passwords and whether or not they might have been leaked, Google actually has a tool that lets you check, and to top things off, Google Assistant can even change those passwords for you so that the process is a bit more automated.
Once that’s done, repeat the process above with all your other compromised accounts to better secure it. Obviously, using two-factor authentication whether it be through an authenticator app, SMS, or a security key would be ideal because in those situations, even if the hacker guessed your password, they still wouldn’t be able to access it.
