When the Galaxy Z Fold 3 was introduced, it was apparent that Samsung was somewhat listening to the market as the price of the phone dropped $200 compared to last year’s model. However, $1,800 is still a tough pill to swallow, even if you get it subsidized through your carrier. Over the holiday rush, we’ve seen some pretty great deals for the Fold 3, but the best ones still required you to trade in your old phone in order to take advantage. In a surprise Flash Sale, Amazon has dropped the price of the Z Fold 3 to just $1,350, coming at its lowest price ever.
Shortly after the Z Fold 3 debuted, we saw the phone discounted by different outlets, but usually not by more than a couple of hundred dollars. Now, you can get the Z Fold 3 for just barely more than what the Galaxy S21 Ultra retails for, making this one heckuva deal that you should definitely jump on.
The concerns about durability are definitely warranted, but Samsung went the extra mile with the Fold 3, as it offers IPX8 water resistance and an improved hinge to help combat against dust and debris. The Fold 3 is also the second non-Galaxy Note phone to be released with S Pen support, and there’s even a dedicated Fold Edition S Pen if you want to annotate PDFs or just doodle while you have some downtime.
Another big upgrade over the Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes via the Cover Screen. Samsung ditched the 60Hz display panel for the Cover Screen and implemented one with a 120Hz refresh rate instead. The Fold 3 is a beast in just about every way imaginable, and to see it dropped down to just $1,350 makes me feel a bit jealous considering I purchased mine at full price.
If you want to get the Z Fold 3 at its lowest price ever, you don’t have long to do so. This current sale lasts until the end of today (12/14), before it will presumably go back to the $1,800 price that we saw at launch. Seriously, if you want one of the most interesting and innovative devices ever released, this is the best chance to jump abord the foldable train.
