Dec 7th, 2021

Last week, we saw a whole bunch of users begin dissecting their listening habits over the course of the year following the release of Spotify’s Wrapped 2021. YouTube Music looks to be the next on the list to receive such a feature, as users are beginning to see the YouTube Music 2021 Recap section appear.

When the section is made available, a new 2021 Recap appears after tapping your profile avatar in the top right corner. Then, you’ll see the option nestled between History and Paid memberships, allowing you to dive in.

From the 2021 Recap, YouTube Music includes personalized stats for all of the music you listened to over the course of the year. This includes your favorite artists, songs, music videos, and playlists while sharing even more. YouTube Music also is sharing the best playlists “made by our very own YouTube Music listeners.”

The 2021 Recap also highlights your recent music discoveries and lets you listen to your favorites of the year in a personalized 2021 Recap playlist. Your personalized 2021 Recap playlist and stats can easily be shared with your friends and others by simply tapping the arrow at the bottom of your stats card.

As expected, YouTube Music is rolling out a series of year-end playlists of its own, giving you the ability to find even more music before we move into 2022. In addition to providing information about your listening habits, YouTube Music shared a bit about the best of the best when it comes to 2021.
