How to add wireless charging to the Oppo Reno 6 Pro

We all look at different feature sets when it comes to buying a phone. For some, it might be the cameras, for others, battery size, and there might also be some customers in which wireless charging is a must-have feature for a phone.

But what if you found a phone that has most of what you want in terms of price and features, like the Oppo Reno 6 Pro, but it lacks wireless charging? The good news is that this isn’t necessarily a deal breaker because there are accessories like wireless charging adapters that can give any phone wireless charging capabilities if it did not have it already, and the best part is that they are relatively inexpensive.

This means that if you’re shopping on a budget but don’t want to spend a few hundred bucks more on a different model with wireless charging, this is one way to go about it.

What you will need:

Wireless charging adapter

Wireless charging adapters are an external accessory that plugs into your phone’s USB-C port. When paired with a wireless charging mat or surface, it will transfer that energy through the USB-C port and charge your phone.

The downside to such a setup is that it means that your USB-C port will be used by this adapter, so when you need to transfer data to and from your computer, you’ll have to remove the accessory first, which can be a bit troublesome, but if you don’t do it often it should be a problem.

Most of the wireless adapters we’ve listed below are also slim/thin enough where it can be slotted inside of a phone case without any issue, but you’ll want to make sure it fits first just in case.

Wireless charger

Now that you’ve gotten a wireless charging adapter, you’ll need a wireless charger. If you already have one at home that’s Qi compatible, then you should be able to use it just fine, if not here are some of our recommendations.
