How to install Android 12 Beta on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3

Earlier today, Samsung announced that it is releasing the first One UI 4 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, which is our first taste of Android 12 outside of Google’s official release. But instead of opting for a private or limited beta program, if you own the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 3, you can join the program right from your phone. Samsung wants to get this into the hands of as many users as possible ahead of the final release sometime later this year.

Since the One UI 4 beta program is open to everyone, this means that you can sign up and join right from your phone. And instead of having to wait until later this year in order to get the latest version of Android on your Galaxy Z Fold 3, you can get it now.

So what do you need to do in order to use Android 12 Beta on Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Z Fold 3? The steps could not be easier:

  1. Download the Samsung Members app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app and sign in with your Samsung Account.
    • If you don’t already have a Samsung account, you can create one from here.
  3. Once it appears, tap the Registration for One UI Beta Program banner on the main screen of the Samsung Members app.

After you have registered your Galaxy Z Fold 3 for the One UI 4 beta program, it comes down to a waiting game. You can either wait for the OTA update to arrive, or you can go through the traditional update process in the Settings app.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap Software Update.
  3. Tap Download and Install.

Eventually, the update will arrive on your device. Then, it’s just like any other software update that you will receive, as it will just download in the background and prompt you when the download has been completed.
