Earlier today, Samsung announced that it is releasing the first One UI 4 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, which is our first taste of Android 12 outside of Google’s official release. But instead of opting for a private or limited beta program, if you own the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 3, you can join the program right from your phone. Samsung wants to get this into the hands of as many users as possible ahead of the final release sometime later this year.
Since the One UI 4 beta program is open to everyone, this means that you can sign up and join right from your phone. And instead of having to wait until later this year in order to get the latest version of Android on your Galaxy Z Fold 3, you can get it now.
So what do you need to do in order to use Android 12 Beta on Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Z Fold 3? The steps could not be easier:
After you have registered your Galaxy Z Fold 3 for the One UI 4 beta program, it comes down to a waiting game. You can either wait for the OTA update to arrive, or you can go through the traditional update process in the Settings app.
Eventually, the update will arrive on your device. Then, it’s just like any other software update that you will receive, as it will just download in the background and prompt you when the download has been completed.
