Now that Google has started to roll out Android 12 to its Pixel smartphones, non-Pixel owners are probably wondering when they will be able to get the Android 12 update on their device. This will differ from handset brand to handset brand, model to model, but we have some good news for Vivo owners.
The company has recently shared a roadmap for their plans to make the Android 12 beta available for its phones. The first phone on the list to get the Android 12 beta would be the Vivo V70 Pro+, the company’s latest handset, so no surprises there. It will be available starting from the end of November 2021.
This will be followed by the Vivo X60 Pro+, X60 Pro, X60, V21 and Y72 5G at the end of December, and then other Vivo handsets starting in 2022 onwards. It seems that the company plans on running its beta program until April, so we’re not sure if that’s when they’ll start releasing the final version for users in between or if all users will have to wait until then.
Take note that this is for the beta version of Android 12, which means that this isn’t the final version so if you only one one phone, it might not be the best idea to install the beta as there could be bugs and issues that will make it difficult to use.
We previously saw how Xiaomi’s “stable” Android 12 beta ended up bricking some of its phones, so unless you’re willing to take that risk, it’s probably not the best idea to install the beta on your daily driver.
